We’re passionate about helping your dog live their best life.

About Highland Hounds

Highland Hounds was built on a simple belief, that dogs deserve more than just basic exercise and obedience. They deserve a life that fulfils them, challenges them, and allows them to be what they naturally are.

Like many owners, we’ve experienced the frustration of dealing with pulling on walks, reactivity, lack of focus, or a dog that just feels like hard work. What we came to realise is that many of these behaviours aren’t about disobedience, they’re a reflection of unmet needs. When dogs don’t have the right outlets, structure, or guidance, things start to feel out of balance.

That’s where our approach is different.

At Highland Hounds, we focus on creating fulfilled, balanced dogs through a combination of structured adventures and real-world training. Our bush walks and pack sessions aren’t just about burning energy; they’re designed to allow dogs to explore, think, socialise appropriately, and move in a calm, structured way. This kind of fulfilment has a powerful impact, often reducing stress, overexcitement, and unwanted behaviours naturally.

Alongside this, our training is built for real life. We don’t just teach skills in controlled environments; we work in the places you and your dog actually spend time. The goal isn’t just a dog that listens in a session, but a dog you can trust in everyday situations. Whether it’s walking calmly on lead, being neutral around other dogs, or settling at home, everything we do is designed to make your life easier.

We also believe that training isn’t just for the dog, it’s for you. Clear communication, consistency, and understanding go a long way, which is why we support our clients every step of the way. Our aim is to leave you feeling confident, capable, and in control.

At the heart of Highland Hounds is a genuine passion for helping people enjoy their dogs again. Less stress, less frustration, and more freedom to include your dog in your everyday life.

Because when your dog is fulfilled, everything else starts to fall into place.
